The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, … The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it. The 2 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+1). These numbers fit neatly as squares.

See in the image how 5 and 8 make 13, 8 and 13 make 21, and so on. Now what all these has to do with nature ? Fibonacci is present in all forms of nature, everywhere you look, is a Fibonacci pattern.

Leaf arrangement in plants, to the pattern of the florets of a flower, or the scales of a pineapple. The Fibonacci numbers are therefore applicable to the growth of every living thing, including a single cell, a grain of wheat, a hive of bees, and even all of mankind.
