The Assam Public Service Commission is very funny. First, a huge scam emerged, then Government allegedly ordered to stop the investigation because the names of the relative of a Union Minister came up. Then The APSC conducted preliminary examination where they copied questions from the Internet and could not publish the answer keys correctly till date.
Almost every day, the Letter of Editor Column of the esteemed daily The Assam Tribune is full of letters criticizing the stupidity of APSC. One of those letters is quoted below-
Through the column, I would request the APSC to stop conducting any exams in the future and rather put the vacant post up for sale on an e-commerce website. I am saying so because after appearing in the recently concluded exam of Inspector of legal metrology and repeatedly witnessing irregularities within the exam hall I have come to believe that this whole process is hogwash. At the Ganesh Mandir higher secondary school, Six Mile, Guwahati a few candidates were busy discussing the solution among themselves while the invigilator who, as it seems now was there for the free cups of tea and biscuits, did nothing to stop them. Moreover, the reports of students taking the help of mobile phones to write their answers at another center have also emerged.
